INGREDIENTS

1/2 kg mutton cut into medium pieces and washed clean
3 medium-size onions, chopped
1 medium ripe tomatoe, chopped
10 cloves
3 cardamoms
1 teaspoon peppercorns
2 ince piece cinnamon stick
1 tsp. ginger paste
1 tsp. garlic paste
2 tbsp. Coconut powder mixed with a little hot water
1tsp. chilli powder
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp. corriander powder
1 tsp. cumin powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp Oil


METHOD
  1. Marinade the mutton in garlic, ginger, chilli powder, turmeric, corriander powder and cumin poder for atleast 4 hours.
  2. Grind the cloves, cardamom, peppercorns and cinnamon to a fine powder.
  3. In a pan, fry onions till brown, add the mutton along with the tomatoes and salt and fry well for 30 mins.
  4. Add the coconut paste along with the powdered spices and and cover and cook till the meat is cooked.
  5. Garnish with chopped corriander and serve with rice or chapatis.
